cant install vista

Hi,
I have downloaded the 64bit version of vista, when i select the drive to install this from it then fails and says it cant install, any reason as to why this happens, i am booting from a dvd on startup

Arrgh ,
okay download done , burned to disk , etc , ... now what ?
can someone please explain what to do after a download , in easy steps , sorry , but i dont understand a lot about vista .
